It is not possible to make any noise with only one hand. In the same manner, if man wants to achieve something higher, without making an effort, it is not possible. If man wants to get the fruits without making any effort, this signifies weakness on his part. In order to achieve any result, some attempt has to be made. It is man's duty to put in his best efforts and the success or failure will be decided by God. By making an effort, we will be able to achieve many things and achieve good results


You must always remember the two great principles - work and worship, and follow them every minute of your lives. Whatever job you take up, do it to the best of your ability. Do your duty to the best and to the utmost satisfaction of everyone concerned. Even in your home, you must discharge all your obligations and responsibilities. If you are able to satisfy your parents today by discharging your duty in the proper spirit, tomorrow your children will offer you similar satisfaction. If you aspire for a happy and secure life in future, you must lead your present life in a conducive way by discharging all your obligations in the right spirit. If you discharge your responsibility in the right spirit, that will give you real power from the well-deserved authority

The mind is the basis for all the sense organs. Without mental consciousness, the sense organs will not be able to function at all. From time to time, the senses are likely to go astray. If a brass vessel is struck with a stick, it will send out vibrations. Likewise, when someone criticizes you, your mind waves will get excited by the sound waves reaching a certain nerve centre in the brain. Immediately, an angry reaction occurs. The stage is set for a quarrel. Then, there is no control over the mind. On the other hand, someone else may come and praise you. You forget yourself and get immersed in joy. The sense of discrimination may be lost through excessive elation or through deep distress. When the discriminating power is weak, the mind is prone to pursue wrong courses. To achieve a state of bliss, you must start with the control of senses. The senses must be directed along the right lines
